Sean stands for Sound Enhancing Autonomous Network. It’s a non-invasive hearing aid alternative that is portable and focused on human-to-human conversation. Sean amplifies a person’s voice given it is able to locate them in both a visual and audio space. A microphone array is used to estimate a rough location of the speaker and a camera is employed to determine if and where there are speakers in sight. This all seamlessly integrates into an app where the user can interact and have limited control of Sean.
