Automatic Feeding and Sanitizing Pet Bowl

A smart pet feeder system with an interactive mobile app for the purpose of ensuring pet's health and wellbeings.

About the Project

Our goal in Senior Design is to design a automatic feeding and UV sanitation pet feeding system. Our Pet Bowl is the solution we came up with to combat the ongoing coronvirus epidemic and its effects on dogs. This system allows the user to be away while their pet could feed themselves without much of the worrying of cross-contamination. Our system detects incoming dogs using the ultrasonic sensor which will then activates the onboard NoIR camera module. Our Image recognition or Neural Networks sub system is capable of detecting the dog breed wether is day or night. Internal data is used to determine dispensable amount of food and water where final weights are measured again when the load cells are turned on. When the pet is done with the food and water data collected are sent to the Google Firebase and manual UV cleaning commences. Users can then download and view the recorded activities.
