The Followbot is an autonomous BLE based robot made to carry your luggage with just a two clicks on
your iOS device. All you need to do is find the name of your specific FollowBot, click "Connect", and enjoy
your having you hands and shoulders free. The Followbot works by receiving packets from Estimote's state
of the art BLE location beacons, parsing their RSSI values, using those values to find distance from each
beacon and finally trilaterating the location of the bot. The mobile application, developed in swift,
takes advantage of the Estimote location SDK for localization and orientation purposes. Using location and orientation
data from the FollowBot and the iOS mobile phone, our system intelligently follows it's user while
avoiding collisions using ultrasonic technology.
Graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer
Engineering and is currently employed as a Support Software Engineer at MINT Media Interactive
