Smart Emergency Response Evacuation System (SERES) was developed by group 8 for senior design at the University of Central Florida. The objective of this project was to develop a next generation fire alarm system targeting large commercial buildings or large public dwellings such as high rises. Previous generations of fire alarm system can be costly and time consuming to install or update and do not provide evacuation routes either. SERES. is an expandable system, which includes wireless fire alarms and provides safe evacuation routes. SERES is an easy and cheap upgrade to current fire safety systems available today.
