The Phoenix Board is the passion project of Group 8, combining multiple technologies to create a smart, green, and exciting electric skateboard. The Phoenix Board utlizes wireless charging and solar energy (with the option of a standard DC connection) to power two quick and quiet hub motors. Riders use our companion Phoenix Board app to control the board. Here, riders have the option of setting various ride modes, ranging from Beginner to Advanced, with an addtiional ECO mode for maximum battery saving. They can then change the speed of the board, activate the on-board LEDs for night-time mode along with selecting one of 8 color schemess, as well as changing the units of speed. Lastly, riders can keep track of their current ride, viewing speed and distance data, while also being able to access past trips.
