This project’s design was created with the purpose of providing an efficient and easy way for consumers to access information about the health of their swimming pool water. We have decided to focus on this project as a result of what we believe to be an inefficient manner of testing the water for potentially hazardous chemicals. We strived to improve upon this standard of measurement with our idea of using spectrometry to gather information about the chemical composition of the sample.
Juan Palomino is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida. He will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Information Technology in August of 2017. His plans for the future include utilizing and integrating his talents, skills, and knowledge into the workforce as well as pursue further education into his field.
Mahmoud Elhady is currently an Electrical Engineering senior student at the University of Central Florida. He will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in August 2017.He has been attending the University for 5 years and is planning to stay in the Orlando area in the future and apply his skills in the working field.
Marielena Burdge is currently a senior at the University of Central Florida. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Photonic Science and Engineering in August 2017 with certificates in Teaching English as a Second Language and Service Learning. She is also a proud alumna of The Burnett Honors College and LEAD Scholars Program.
James Tavil is a Computer Engineering student at the University of Central Florida. James is originally from Haiti; he moved to the United States in 2009 to pursue his educational dream which is to become an engineer. James is passionate about sports. He plays soccer as a hobby and also watches all types of sports games. Besides school and sports, James is a very good cook and loves to barbecue with friends and family. After getting his Bachelor degree, James’ next dream is to go to graduate school and then work for a company like Lockheed Martin.
