The SMART Skateboard is a sensor placed under a skateboard which is able to read movement and determine the tricks performed by the rider. To accomplish such tasks we used three main sensors, an accelerometer/magnetomete, barometer, and a gyroscope. These three sensors are in charge of measuring movement in the X,Y,Z direction and sending the info into our mobile application, which using the algorithm created by the team, helps determine the tricks performed, and using text-to-speech tells the rider which trick has been perfectly landed. Our project is comprised of:
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
- 3 main sensors (Accelerometer/Magnetomete, Barometer, Gyroscope)
- 2000 mah Li-Po battery
- Low-energy bluetooth chip
- 3D printed carbon re-enforced holster
