Project Introduction
This senior design project is an autonomous rover that is designed to meet FAR 1030 payload
competition rules and requirements given to us from the rocket and payload Aerospace Engineering
teams. Our sponsor for this project is Aerojet Rocketdyne, who not only sponsored 5 other rover
payload teams, but also the main rocket team. Our goal with this rover was to try and make as unique of
a rover as possible and learn as much as we could along the way. This project was a huge step out of the
groups comfort zone, and although we didn’t achieve all our initial goals, we believe we achieved a lot in
the time frame allotted.
