About Us
How did this design come about?
Conceived as a method for the realtime reproduction of 3D spaces, Frames is the brainchild of Christian Vartanian, Daniel Hureira, and Jamesley Rock. Drawing inspiration from large scale light shows and the natural ultrasonic vision of Bats; the Frames system seeks to be able to not only accurately represent the spaces around us but to also engage viewers in a discussion in how we perceive and understand the spaces around us. While we are used to simple 2D optical reconstructions of our world, the system's goal was to make the case for other forms of data collection to more fully paint the picture of the world that we find ourselves in. In short, Frames strives to capture and display the world by how we feel it and not just by how we see it.
