The Safety and Rescue Helmet for Enhanced Situational Awareness
First Responders and Search and Rescue(SAR) Teams are not provided with enough funds to purchase a device with the all-in-one capabilites of tracking localized location, communication, and better vision for the user.
The SARHesa is an afordable minimum viable product that will track the user's localized location, allow communication between users, and provide enhanced vision using Near-Infrared(NIR) technology. The SARHesa is an integrated solution that has the potential to save lives.

Harriet Medrozo is graduating from the University of Central Florida in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, she will be working as a hardware communications engineer in the aerospace industry. She has experience in both power distribution systems and wireless communication systems. Her professional interests are in radio frequency, communications systems, and remote sensing. She plans on pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on communications systems.

Jacob Anthony is graduating from the university of central Florida in August 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. After graduating ,Jacob intends to work in the space industry or in a field where he can do Advanced Research.

Stephen Hudson is graduating from the University of Central Florida in August 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, Stephen intends to work as a power engineer.

Shakira Cummings is a 26-yearold senior at the University of Central Florida. Shakira has her Associate in Arts Engineering from Valencia College. She will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in December 2019. After graduating, Shakira intends to pursue a career in engineering or teaching 5th-12th grade levels.
