Yahya presented his first work at FURC 2025! (February 2025)
Yahya presented his work at FURC 2025! The following is Yahya’s experience:
“The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference provided me with an excellent opportunity to present my research to a diverse academic audience, which proved both difficult and rewarding. Audiences were fascinated by brain-machine interfaces(BMIs) and neural plasticity garnered significant interest, with a couple attendees also discussing their own computational neuroscience projects with me. The strong presence of UCF Knights provided substantial peer support. The experience was extremely positive, and I’m eager to participate in future conference presentations.”

Jason is very excited to head to South Korea this summer to do research in one of the best universities in South Korea. Jason says “This summer, I am thrilled to announce that I will be participating in the National Science Foundation’s International Research Experience for Students Track one – Low-Dimensional Materials for Transducers (IRES LDM4T) this summer in South Korea! More specifically, I will work with nanocomposites for soft sensors in Dr. Nae-Eung Lee’s lab at SKKU. This opportunity allows me to further my knowledge in the field, and work on researching and developing state-of-the-art sensors. I am immensely grateful to everyone in my lab for getting me to this point in my academic career. I would not have been able to obtain this opportunity without the skills I learned in the LIMB lab!”

Trevor presented his first work at FURC 2024! (February 2024)
Trevor presented his work at FURC 2024! The following is Trevor’s experience:
“Attending the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference was a great first conference for me. It was a challenging yet enriching experience explaining our research to an interdisciplinary audience. Many people were excited to learn how our lab is trying to enhance prosthesis control, and I even received a comment from one person saying the poster was the best he had seen that day. The conference had a large turnout from fellow UCF Knights, so there was a lot of support from my peers. Also, I enjoyed discovering what other undergrads from around Florida were researching. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I look forward to presenting my research at more conferences in the future.”
