Q-Lab always seeks self-motivated, innovative, and curious minds to lead groundbreaking innovations in quantum science and technology. Orlando’s growing tech economy, plenty of green space, and access to beaches and other recreation centers make it a dream destination for people of all ages. Along with UCF, Q-Lab creates an environment that encourages collaboration across different fields, providing exciting opportunities for emerging researchers to work together. This interdisciplinary approach fosters creativity and innovation, allowing the next generation of researchers to thrive and contribute significantly to the field.
Graduate researcher position: Q-Lab has multiple graduate research positions. We seek candidates with electrical engineering, physics, and material science backgrounds. Highly passionate candidates interested in working in quantum technologies are requested to contact Prof. Qarony directly.
Undergraduate researcher position: We always welcome highly motivated undergraduates with engineering, physics, and optics backgrounds.
Postdoc position: Q-Lab has a postdoc position available on Quantum Devices. The project will focus on investigating the quantum light sources based on novel color centers in silicon for applications in most scalable quantum networks and photonic quantum information processing. We seek candidates with electrical engineering, physics, and material science backgrounds. Candidates with hands-on experience with optical experiments such as time-resolved spectroscopy, confocal spectroscopy/microscopy, ultrafast laser, single-photon detectors, etc., will be given high priority.
We are always looking for exceptional postdoctoral scientists. Backgrounds in experimental optics, quantum systems, and nanofabrication are particularly welcome. Postdoctoral candidates are invited to email Prof. Qarony directly with their CVs.
