Industry involvement is essential to the success of the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science's (EECS) educational and research mission. Strong industrial support ensures that EECS' research and educational efforts address the needs and challenges of the industry, while supporting and enhancing our infrastructure, students, curriculum, and research.
Our faculty members are working professionals with advanced degrees who are dedicated to expanding their own knowledge and sharing what they've practiced for years with our students. They combine academic theory with real-life industry knowledge for a quality learning experience.
IEEE Women in Engineering Committee (WIEC) has selected Parveen Wahid as the winner of the 2017 WIE Inspiring Member Award! The purpose of this award is to recognize a professional member of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) who has made an outstanding contribution to WIE, their community and the engineering community, through dedication and involvement in projects or activities directed toward fulfilling one or more of the WIE goals and objectives. Parveen has clearly embodied this purpose and they am pleased to recognize Parveen "for exemplary service to enriching the diversity and technical experiences of female members and students around the globe."
